Bess Atwell announces new single/video; and headline London date

Bess Atwell makes a flying start to 2017

Friday, February 10, 2017 — Already a live guest in 2017 on prestigious BBC radio shows The Steve Lamacq Show on BBC 6 Music, and with Jo Whiley on The Dermot O’Leary Show on BBC Radio 2, Bess Atwell has made a flying start.

We can now announce that Bess Atwell is to play Notting Hill Arts Club, London on April 3rd 2017.This follows a sold-out debut at Servant Jazz Quarters in London late last year.

Bess Atwell’s forthcoming single Candid features photography by the legendary Tom Sheehan, and two tracks: Candid Single Edit and Candid Old Tape Mix. These are reworkings of Candid from Bess’ debut album Hold Your Mind. Scheduled for release March 24th 2017, the new single is produced by Michael ‘Smithy’ Smith, and the forthcoming video is directed by Chloe Sheppard.

Candid, says Bess, "touches on the different ways people communicate love, and the tragedy of two people loving each other but lacking the language to express it in a way that the other one might understand."

Due to the radio appearances Bess Atwell’s debut album Hold Your Mind is to get a further promotion in the UK, Eire and continental Europe. The Cobbled Streets single/video debut - see below - along with the album Hold Your Mind, is also to be promoted in the US and Canada later this year.
