Charmian Devi will follow her debut solo album Diamond Hour - released May 2026; preview below - with a new album Till Eternity Breaks which she has begun recording in London, UK.
Charmian is a Canadian/British dual national. Following spells living in Montreal, New York City, and London, she has now relocated to Brighton, UK - please see pics below.
Charmian has formed a new band that she calls Charmian Devi & The Raven. The band members are drummer Lance Taylor and bassist Suzanne Gailey. Charmian and her new band will play a first gig in London in the summer of 2026 to promote Diamond Hour, and she will also play some songs from Till Eternity Breaks.
UK Gigs Update: Charmian Devi & The Raven play the Dublin Castle in London on July 22nd 2026, and will also play The Gladstone in Brighton on August 7th 2026.
So far two tracks for Till Eternity Breaks (due in 2027) have been recorded in London, co-produced by Mark Vernon (PJ Harvey) and Charmian Devi, and engineered by drummer Alex Thomas (Bat for Lashes, John Cale, Anne Calvi). These new recordings also feature Jonathan Noyce (Jethro Tull, Gary Moore) on bass and John Atterbury (Lightboxes) on electric guitar, and of course Charmian Devi on acoustic and electric guitar.
Charmian says, "Till Eternity Breaks will be my second solo album. This second, forthcoming album is the culmination of work that has spanned continents, from Canada (Montreal) to the USA (New York) to the UK, and promises to be my most powerful work to date. It's an album encapsulating both a deep personal transformation and a sharp reflection of a chaotic and dangerous crossroads on the world stage."
